I was close to pulling the trigger on Superior Drummer with the Custom and Vintage expansion as I've been trying to hunt down nice dampened samples for a while (it's a sound truly overlooked and undervalued by drum software developers in my opinion), but they're just a little too vintage for me. The BFD interface is fantastic but the sounds themselves need so much work for what I want to achieve. I must add I've been a fairly loyal BFD1/2/3/Platinum Samples fanboiii until recently but the Blackbird expansion has really swung it for me. Am I overlooking something here? Is there a way to move the channels like in BFD3? I am sending each channel to separate output in Cubase however I'd like to arrange the mixer within SSD4 so all the Kick channels are consecutive etc. Hihat, Kick In, Snare Top, Tom 10, Tom 12, Tom 14, Tom 16, Kick Out, Snare Top B, Kick Sub etc etc. bravo) except that the mixer channels are in a bizarre order whichever preset I chose. It all seems to be working fine (and sounds great btw. Hi I have recently purchased SSD4 Custom with the Blackbird expansion. Implementing a download manager on your site that does this for the user, or automatically checks download streams for checksum problems would eliminate the problem entirely.

Re-downloading the library that contains the corrupted file(s) may work, assuming the RAR downloads without corruption.įor Steven Slate folks: publishing a checksum of the known good library files, then giving users instructions for calculating their own checksum against the downloaded files might help ensure quick resolution. If the corrupted file is one of the first to load in a kit, or is a commonly used kit piece then you're more likely to have few pieces load, or to have the errors occur more often.

I suspect that if errors occur during your download (not uncommon for libraries this big), and one or more files within the library RARs are corrupted, this is the source of all the similar reported problems. I was able to extract that file successfully without errors, drop it into the library where it belonged, and voila! No more memory errors. I tried extracting just that file again from the downloaded library RAR, but continued getting the error, so I went back and downloaded part 5 of the library again. Kits would load until they reached that cymbal, then nothing further would load. I figured out that this happened only for kits that used the Soultone Extreme 16 crash cymbal. I ignored it, but once I loaded the VST in Reaper, I started getting memory errors as have been reported here. "F:\SSD\: Checksum error in SSD4Library\DrumLibraryData\SSD 4 Deluxe.lib\06 Crashes.sdt\Crash Soultone Extreme 16.ssd.

Wile extracting the downloaded libraries, WinRAR threw an error: Yesterday I purchased and downloaded SSD4 Platinum.
